About EMDR Intensives

What is an EMDR Intensive?

Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing (EMDR) is a leading, evidence-based therapy for trauma, anxiety, and PTSD. In an intensive format, sessions are condensed into focused, extended blocks—helping you process deep material efficiently and safely.

Instead of spreading therapy across months, Intensives harness momentum and continuity for rapid, meaningful change in a structured, supportive environment.

Who it’s for

  • Clients with complex or developmental trauma
  • Professionals experiencing stress, burnout, performance anxiety
  • Those who’ve plateaued in traditional talk therapy
  • Individuals seeking deep, lasting change on a shorter timeline

Benefits clients report

  • Relief from anxiety, panic, flashbacks
  • Greater calm & nervous-system stability
  • Improved sleep, focus, and confidence
  • Renewed motivation and self-trust

What to expect: the intensive experience

A structured, bespoke healing process—tailored to your history, needs, and goals.

  1. 1

    Pre-intensive consultation

Assessment, goal-setting, readiness, and grounding techniques.

  2. 2

    1–3 day intensive

Deep EMDR processing with regulation and integration throughout.

  3. 3

    Follow-up review

Optional consolidation session to embed changes and plan aftercare.

Intensive options

  • 1-Day Reset (4–6 hours): Ideal for single-incident trauma or a focused emotional block.
  • 2–3 Day Deep Process: For complex or long-standing trauma patterns.

How it feels

Clients often describe the experience as intense, focused, and profoundly liberating—with ample breaks and aftercare to support integration.

Integrated approaches — mind & body synergy

Trauma lives in the body as much as in the mind. Optional modalities deepen processing and support long-term regulation.

Breathwork-integrated EMDR

Regulate the nervous system, release tension, and increase presence.

Trauma-focused yoga

Gentle movement to reconnect with the body and integrate emotional shifts.

Somatic resourcing & mindfulness

Track sensations, build resilience, and strengthen safety.

Sound / bilateral music therapy

Rhythmic stimulation to deepen EMDR effects and calm the body.

Optional partner service: Ketamine-assisted EMDR

In collaboration with medical partners, low-dose ketamine sessions may be combined with EMDR to support neuroplasticity and emotional flexibility (subject to suitability).
